I can totally relate! I had the pleasure of seeing one of John Prine‘s last concert before he passed away during the early days of Covid a couple of months later. I can’t listen to his song , When I get to Heaven without crying.
PS , rock stars to seem immortal and we’ve lost so many. Whenever everyone dies, it’s a knock on the forehead that we are aging and won’t last forever.
Thanks for this, Dan: I never got to see any of the Beatles perform, but reading this makes me feel closer to them and closer to you. I'll try to do a couple of things today I keep pushing off just to remind myself that the past is simply the present that got away.
