I'm still getting over having watched my odometer roll over to its latest decade, Dan: it gets harder each year not to notice that my life references are less salient, parents all look a bit younger, and the stairs a bit steeper.
Of course, kids all stay the same age, and Spring brings as much joy as it ever has. 🌷
I'm sorry to hear about your knee. If it makes you feel any better, arthritis isn't always because of age. My sister (36) fell just before Thanksgiving and suffered a tiny break in her elbow. Her occupational therapist now thinks she has arthritis in that elbow, and she's going to have good days and bad ones.
As my older brother likes to say, “Gettin’ old ain’t for sissies!” But it sure does beat the alternative!
