Good for her (and you)! At 14 my aunt taught me piano but most important how to read music. In high school I played trumpet. While everyone else was learning an instrument AND how to read score I could concentrate on my playing as I knew how to read the music already.
Wonderful! Piano was my first instrument, and so much of what I learned on it made my stringed instruments just a little easier to understand. I hope she loves and enjoys it! And if she eventually decides it’s not for her, the time she spent on it will still give her a greater appreciation for music and musicians, which is all good.
What a wonderful article about all that Uma's lesson brought to the both of you!! :)
Thank you!
Thank you for the day-brightener, Dan!
You're welcome! Thank you for reading along!
My pleasure, Dan!

I have a question about comments. If I write a comment, does it go back to just you, or is it published along with your daily story?
Hi Marie! Both! The comment remains here for discussion among the community AND I get a notification that you left a comment :)
