We all have days like that. Sometimes we need them!! Gray sky day after gray sky day.

I am currently reading your "The White Mountain" book and loving every page!!! So incredibly interesting. My husband climbed it last summer at age 71. I took the cog. Our regret is that we didn't start our hiking days younger. Work certainly got in the way.

I think it was that kind of day everywhere. My day felt ridiculously busy and get nothing felt accomplished at the end of it. Reset, indeed.

That plane crash was scary stuff for sure. Two of my kids and their families live in Londonderry now and this wasn’t all that far from them either. I kind of hold my breath when all of the big Southwest planes skim their rooftops!

One of those days! Made me think of quotes like "When it rains it pours". That person must have had one of those days. I looked it up and was surprised as where it came from and found a few singers sang about it also (really nothing to do with original meaning unless very abstract). I know you will look it up or maybe you already have that knowledge.

If I recall correctly, wasn't it an advertisement for Morton Salt or some such thing?

Yes, as salt crystals normally would stick together when humid. (Calcium silicate added to prevent this) It is actually from an old English proverb "It never rains, but it pours" meaning when not so good things happen it keeps going.
