My first husband and I were dating during Twin Peaks and it was a ritual to grab a pizza and glue ourselves to the screen every week. Like you, I have no intention of ever watching again, but it was a strange/good ride.
So glad you mentioned our mutual watching of Twin Peaks, Dan: I remember it so well! And yes, the hourly sounds of Amtrack and SEPTA trains clacking their way past our tiny apartment heightened the overall weirdness and inscrutable nature of the show. We watched it again during the pandemic and enjoyed it again immensely. It seemed like a gorgeous tangle of yarn that only got more messed up no matter which thread you pulled.
I will miss David Lynch very much: he reminded me that not everything has an answer.
My husband, our daughter, and I watched Twin Peaks every week without fail. Then it got weird.

Those were good times!
