On the way to the venue, in the car, as I’m driving, I get a text from Chris Jones, the bass player of Thunderstruck. It reads: Let me know when you guys get here and I’ll bring you backstage.
“Whoa,” I say. “We’re going backstage!”
“Seriously?” both girls yell together from the back seat.
Looks like our big rock and roll evening was about to get even more exciting. (To be continued tomorrow…)
Good morning gang! We’re spending the day relaxing and recovering from a blistering, face-melting nearly 2.5 hours of AC/DC music last night where the girls got the royal treatment from the band and came home with drum sticks, set lists, stickers and picks. The girls did great and memories were made. The cheese fries were pretty good as well!
We’ll gather our wits about us today and make sure our hearing comes back and then we’ll be back with the story of our night and some thoughts, in general, about classic rock and finding your joy and what it’s like to be a girl dad to a kid who loves classic rock and wants to be guitar player so she can shred.
Tell then, thanks for reading and please do share. Have a great Saturday!
