Today, some good news! (Yes, yes, we know it’s about time.) And it’s some book news!
I just heard back from my publicist that the NY Fire Tower hiking guide launch date is Tuesday, August 5th. Yay!
Also, yes, you heard that right. Publicist. Man, that was a new one for me in a long string of new one’s. This book - book number ten by the way - has been one long learning and relearning process. Working with a major publisher like Falcon, which is an imprint of Rowman & Littlefield, has been an incredible professional experience.
I’ve had a general editor, production editor, copy editor, cartographer and now a publicist to hold my hand through the process. And I’ve seen a first draft of the book, along with a few of the maps. It looks so, so good!
Anyway, I’ll have the chance to do some signings and of course copies will also be available through me and my Personal Bookstore.
For now though, if you have inside tracks on any bookstores, libraries, hiking clubs or other outdoor organizations that might like copies or a presentation, please let me know. I’m trying to impress my publicist!
And let me know, have any of you done any hiking in New York? What are some of your favorites? Hike on and we’ll see ya over the weekend.
Congratulations, Dan! I think my local library would be interested in a presentation. https://nottinghamlibrary.org/
This week has taken a toll. I thought it said “Lunch” date. Oh, well! 🤦🏼♀️. A few of my favorite bookstores are Gibson’s (Concord), Jaborwocky (Newburyport) and the “newest”…The Purple Couch in Andover, Ma.. I am sure any one of them would be happy to host you!! Congratulations on the new book!
