Today, we let all of you, our dear readers, take over.
Last week, we asked you to give us subjects and themes. We asked - What do you want us to write about?
And so, in this final week before our one-year anniversary of writing this journal daily, I thought I’d lay out all the subjects and topics you sent us. Starting on November 1, we’ll begin a regular READERS’ CHOICE post where we tackle one of these subjects. And we WILL get through every one of them!
Meantime, please share us and recommend us to your social media platforms and friends! We hope to hit our subscription goal of 500 by Nov. 1.
And now, on with the show. Here are your recommendations and stories you’ll be reading about in the upcoming weeks:
~ Road Trips - We received the most requests for more road trip and adventures posts! Little Bean and I or the family on the road, going to shows, exploring and causing shenanigans really seems to resonate. Rest assured, we have some big trips planned!
~ My Library - Several of you asked for me to write more about my library and library life in general. I appreciate that! Our friend Liz suggested a sort of “Did you know…?” post about the library and I like that idea very much!
~ Coffee - Last time we did a reader topic outreach, our friend Perry asked me to write about coffee, and I just didn’t get to it then. But I will now! My brother-in-law just brought me back some beans from Texas and I can’t wait to try them!
Here are some other requests:
~ If you could pick, what sort of society would you choose to live in?
~ How music helps people in their lives with connection, friendships and dealing with tough situations.
~ More poetry!
~ How our pets became part of our family.
~ A story on one-room school houses in the state
~ Ennui (I may not have enough energy or interest in this subject.)
And so we beat on! Thanks to all your encouragement, we’re eager to begin our second year and hope we can grow even bigger. I hope these little posts have offered you some pleasant and upbeat mornings! Big things coming, just wait and see!
I look forward to reading the upcoming reader-driven posts!
