Hey, how’s it going?
Little Bean and I realized it’s been a while since we did a basic hello and primer for this community. We’ve had a big run of new subscribers the past week and as of this moment, you all helped us reach 600!
That means, if those numbers hold by Wednesday, we’ll begin publishing our Long Lost (but lost no longer) Fire Tower Hiking Memoir.
So, first of all, if you are new here… Hi! We’re so happy you decided to give us a go!
If you’ve been here from Day One, well, wow, we appreciate you so very much!
Day By Day has been a publishing newsletter since Nov. 1, 2022. For the first year, we ran about once or twice a week. Then, on Nov. 1, 2023, we decided to run daily, because you know, Day By Day, and we’ve been rolling ever since.
We have well over 600 posts in our archives now, covering topics as varied as parenting, libraries, books, music, concerts, rocks, interviews, history and just all sorts of fun and strange things.
We try to keep things upbeat - Lord knows there’s enough sad or serious news to read out there - and give you all a short, tasty little bite each morning. We try to shoot a post over to your email every morning around 10am.
For the past year, my daughter Uma has joined me as a co-writer (or at least a co-producer) writing her own music interview series called Interviews By Uma, and often batting around ideas and helping me with some of the stories.

Musician Ashley Suppa of Plush is spreading the Love, Light and Power
Something we’ve been doing a lot of lately has been on a musical exploration - adventuring all over the place to go to shows, meet bands, learn to play and Uma coming into her own as a musician and storyteller as well.
As we mentioned above, on Wednesday, April 30, we’ll begin publishing here - exclusively ONLY for subscribers - our NH Fire Tower Hiking Memoir, one chapter a week for about 20 weeks.
We LOVE feedback, we WILL (mostly) write about any ideas or topics you’d like us to pick up, and we deeply appreciate it when you tell your friends and share our content. We have no plans, in the short term, to add any sort of a paid content element to this newsletter, BUT if you’re feeling generous we will always appreciate a Buy Us A Coffee (Or Slushee) donation!
Anyway, ok, tha’s it for now because we promised you a short, sweet post each day!
