Happy Book Launch Week everyone! As promised, subscribers only, here at Day By Day, will get a chance today to pre-order the new book - Hiking Fire Lookouts New York: A Guide to the State's Best Lookout Tower Hikes.
Just for you, you can order through my personal store right now and not only will I sign copies for you, but we set a standard (within USA) shipping rate of a mere 2 bucks just to cover the envelope. Ready? Click here for your special link and thank you!
Tomorrow is our official launch day, and we’ll drop a whole bunch of other official links then. For now, we also have two raffles just for you all!
First, any comments to any posts this week that mention either any towers you want to climb or have already climbed will get put into a raffle to win a gift certificate to our bookstore. So please like, share and comment!
Second, Uma is working on an original fire tower painting which we’ll also raffle off. Tickets to win the painting will be found at our Buy Us A Coffee Site. Each $3 purchase gets you three chances in the drawing. And Uma has decided that a portion of the proceeds from the raffle will be donated to The NH Audubon Massabesic Center in Auburn a place she adores!
We hope to have a picture of the painting in the next couple days and that drawing is only available to subscribers. Here’s that link in case you want to get in early:
I’m so proud of this new book & can’t wait till you see it! Till tomorrow, keep climbing!
Very exciting! Every time I see the cover of the book, I want to get out of my chair and go in search of a tower to climb!
My son and I went camping at Milan state park several years ago and went up the tower there, it was a windy day and the metal tower was swaying in the wind and it was thrilling! While up there we also took a trip up to Weeks state park and climbed up the stone tower there, I still have pictures of the views and the compass in the tower! I also bought a telescoping hiking stick from the historical home at Weeks and use it often!
