After our big Cirque du Soleil series, we wanted to take a small break, take a breath and do a quick (and painless I hope) shameless self-promo plug.
It’s been a while since I had the opportunity to give a presentation on my book, The Nepal Chronicles, but I’ve been honored with being selected to be a guest speaker this Thursday, August 15, (tomorrow!) at one of my favorite places.
Please join me atop Mt. Prospect in Lancaster for a talk on Nepal and our trip to Base Camp for the Weeks State Park Summer Program. We’ll begin at 7pm in the Great Room at the Weeks Estate.
This is one of my favorite talks and I’m always eager to tell the story of our marriage in Kathmandu and our unaided hike to Base Camp. I’ll have all my books on hand, and some cool trinkets and artifacts from Nepal as well.
And while you’re up there, be sure to check out the state’s one stone, active fire tower. I’d love to see and meet with you all!
Here’s a newspaper article about the event, see you there! Nepal Chronicles Event Info
I still have the prayer flags I bought from you at Auburn's Duck Day, 5 or more years ago. They remain draped over our front windows.
Been meaning to send you a note about how much I enjoyed this book! Reminded me of Neil Peart's travel writing. If you have not read any of his, I would highly recommend.
