Looking Ahead and Ahead and...
So Much Coming Soon!
Today, looking ahead. We’ve been hinting around some upcoming big events and projects in the next couple months, so I thought I’d lay out a schedule for you all, dear readers! And it all begins tomorrow!
Aug. 1 (tomorrow): Exclusive to Day by Day and to Manchester Ink Link, we’ll be dropping some exciting news regarding Little Bean’s next big Kid Reporter project. She’s a member of the Inkubator Journalism Program and we just got confirmation yesterday of an exciting opportunity.
Aug. 8-9: That opportunity I just told you about? Yup, happening on these dates. Let’s just say the circus is coming to town!
Aug. 15: It’s been a while since I gave a talk about our marriage in Nepal and our Mt. Everest Trek but I’ve been invited to do so at one of my favorite places in NH. I’ll be giving a talk for the Weeks State Park Association at the top of Mt. Prospect, 7pm. Please stop by, I’d love to see you! Here’s a link to the event: The Nepal Chronicles
Third week of August: We’re currently in talks to meet and chat with the members of Studio Two, the New England-base Beatles Tribute Band that Little Bean has been following since she was little. Date not yet determined, but we’re looking forward to meeting up with the boys again!
Somewhere in between all that: We’ll have a piece for Monadnock Underground on the 90s. (They are publishing a collection. To be honest, we may have missed that deadline, I really don’t know because I’ve lost track of all space and time.) Also, we’re going to go out on a scouting mission to Frog Rock to check out any damage from a tree fall. We might get a new piano. Fourth grade is going to start.
And don’t even talk to me about September! Whoa boy, just wait.
And finally, Little Bean and can’t wait for Freeze the Fall to drop their latest music video, “One Left Standing,” later today. The band’s new EP just dropped to the public this morning! We have been fortunate to have an advanced copy of the CD and we love it. We’re so happy to be friends with them and their hard working team, and I’ll tell you this - if you’ve ever wanted to be in on the ground floor of a band that is going to make it big, this is your chance.
