Just a quick note of thanks today, as the Little Free Library brochures from the good folks down in Gaithersburg, Maryland arrived the other day and we let Little Bean open the envelope to see how they came out!
This is such a funny treat, to have her joyful picture appear on a brochure for a program in another state, but Little Free Libraries are a universal, popular institution and she loves them so much that it’s easy to see why they selected her as an ambassador. Here’s a link to learn more about their program: Gaithersburg Little Free Libraries
Many thanks to Manchester Ink Link, by the way, for putting them in touch with us.
It’s been several years since we set off on an all-day Little Free Library adventure around our town. Back then, there were about seven or eight. Now, according to the Little Free Library app, there are 32 just in Manchester alone!
That includes ours, which Little Bean named The Lady Bug House.
We have another city-wide Little Free Library visit day planned soon, and we always have a few donor books in the car just in case we come across one somewhere on the road. The concept of free books, just sitting along the road, is fabulous and growing.
Do any of our readers here have a Little Free Library at their home? Or maybe one nearby you like to visit? Drop us an email at danszczesny@gmail.com with a pic, we’d love to see it and do a collage!
Until then, come visit The Lady Bug House and keep reading!
