Little Bean Discovers A New Favorite

Today, we present a new band we just discovered called Major Moment! Little Bean wanted us to tell you all about them since they are Boston-based AND once they discovered they had a kid fan on their hands, they absolutely swamped her with swag and autographs!

Boston-based power pop/metal band Major Moment is a new find!

We stumbled upon them thanks to a random FB algorithm, one of the few times that the algorithm got it right. The band is, as yet, unsigned, but already put out a couple EPs and a CD, and the packaging and merch is first rate.

They are sort of hard to define because they have a unique line up of two lead vocalists, male and female, and both with power rock/metal voices.

Andrey and Sasha take duel lead and it’s sort of like having Chester Bennington AND Amy Lee in the same band - the combination of harsh and smooth vocals really works! Other band members are Colton, Steve and John. Here, why don’t you decide. The cool thing is that the band released a brand new song, just today! It’s a collaboration with artist Lyell and it’s a banger!

We talk a bunch in these pages about bands and artists performing fan service, in particular to their youngest of fans. One would think that such service would be mandatory for all bands looking to expand their fan base. Whether you’re Taylor Swift or an unknown bar band, pulling a family crowd can be of enormous long and short term benefit. After all, the dads and moms are the ones buying the tickets and t-shirts. Make our kid happy, and you make us happy.

But that’s not how it is and there’s plenty of musicians and bands out there that are either uninterested or inappropriate for Little Bean. That’s fine, as long as we have bands like Major Moment.

The very first package we got from them included a signed EP, a lovely note from the band addressed to Little Bean, a package of stickers and coasters, and several picks for her collection. Instant fan!

The band also expressed some interest in being interviewed by Little Bean, so we’re adding that to our interview schedule for 2025. She already has Kat Leon from Holy Wars and Ashley Suppa from Plush lined up.

Major Moment currently doesn’t have any gigs on tap but we’re eagerly awaiting the chance to go see them live! Here’s a link to their OMV for Victim, one of our favorite songs by them.
