Friends! Today marks exactly half a year, six months, since I made the decision to move away from long form writing on Facebook and offer this little, quieter, space for readers to share, debate and gather.
I expected a few dozen or so to join me, but instead, hundreds of you have honored me by putting up with my random, disjointed mumbling and I can’t thank you enough!
We’ve had quite a few new subscribers in the last few weeks, so I figured it was a good time to do a quick hello and recap what exactly happens here!
In general, we publish for sure once a week on Tuesdays. Occasionally, I’ll toss something out there on a Sunday as well. I tried the NOTES feature, but meh, the once or twice a week longish posts seem to be fine and enough. (Tell me if I you want more though!)
I debated focusing very strictly on one topic, but it appears a revolving thematic structure of parenting, local travel and libraries is doing the trick. (Again, tell me if you’d like something different.) All of my past columns are available in the archives.
And finally, I love, love, love when you all comment! I love to hear from you. It keeps me going, so don’t stop!
There are three big projects in the works that this little community will feast their eyes on first: Volume 2 of our Rocks That Rock series will be published in early summer, some form of the NH Fire Tower field guide will hit this year sometime, and a third, BIG book will be announced soon I hope. Sorry, I’m sworn to secrecy on this one right now!
For this week, I won’t keep you long. I just wanted to properly say thank you for the follows and support. We appreciate you all and can’t wait for the next challenge.
As always, please share and subscribe - those buttons are below. If you’d like to look over my bookstore, you can do that here: Dan’s Bookstore
And if you’ve made it this far, a little special treat for you. The first three people who read this can get a FREE copy of a publisher’s edition of my first book, The Adventures of Buffalo and Tough Cookie. Now, this is an advanced readers copy, which means there’s no Title Pages or Introduction, but you can get the gist. Want a copy? Email me at danszczesny@gmail.com with a note saying you’d like a copy along with a place where I should mail it. That’s it! Good luck!
Till next time, on we go!
I am loving it -- thanks. And aren't half-birthdays a wonderful thing.
Awesome! I love your little musings, especially on parenting. They make me miss the days when my son was little and the world was new to him.
