Have you ever gone viral? Or maybe mini-viral? Or, I don’t know, viral-ish.
This has happened three times to me. Once, over a collection of those Bernie Sanders sitting in a chair with his mittens memes. And once when Little Bean and I posted her art recreation of Frida Kahlo. In both of those cases, the post was liked thousands of times, got hundreds of comments and hundreds of shares.
Not, you know, viral viral, but enough to keep me busy for a couple days! And since the posts were fun and uncontroversial, I enjoyed all the comments and posters.
Well, this past week, it happened again!
After our AC/DC show in Gillette last week, I posted the above photo as a stand alone in an AC/DC Facebook Fan Page with the heading “The GOAT in the pouring rain at Foxborough last Sunday. Legend!” And what do you know, it took off. We’re up around 1,500 likes, hundreds of comments and dozens of shares. The post has expanded outside of the fan page and the numbers continue to climb. Guess fans like that photo!
I mention it because so many of the comments also included pictures from the concert we were at, so that’s been neat to see. But one picture in particular I wanted to share with you all today.
In one of the shots posted in the comments of my post, you can actually see me and Little Bean! So, as we prepare for a set of posts right here about that concert adventure, I thought showing you that photo would be a fun way to begin!
Can you find us in the picture? Hint, Little Bean has lit devil horns, I’m tall to the left of her (your right). Our backs are to the stage. About center left in the photo. Anyway, we got a kick out of that and another neat photo to add to our collection.
We also figured this would be a fun lead in to writing about that experience. In the next week or two we’ll post several story shorts about the day which we hope you’ll enjoy. This musical journey sure has been an amazing one.
So, did you find us? Also, has anything you’ve ever posted gone unexpectedly viral?
Congratulations on your contagious post!
