Friends, normally Wednesdays herald the next chapter in our NH Fire Tower memoir, but alas, this week, Little Bean and I returned from our Nashville trip late and I wasn’t able to properly format the chapter to my liking in time.
I hope you’ll forgive us. We’ll run Chapter 11 on time, next Wednesday, July 23.
Until then, can you guess which tower is next on our list? Here’s a hint - it’s New Hampshire’s northern-most active tower!
If you’d like to catch up on the book so far, here’s a link to Chapter 10 and that will get you to all the previous chapters - Where There’s Smoke: On The Trail to New Hampshire’s Fire Towers.
Our hearts and minds are bursting with stories and pics and video from our trip and we can’t wait to begin sharing some of that with you! We’ll begin doing some of that tomorrow.
And for all the new subscribers we picked up over the last few days…hello! Thank you! Our Day By Day community of music, book, history, rocks and travel lovers is growing here and we’re so thankful you’re with us. Introduce yourself and say howdy!
Till then, two pics. Above, on the trail navigating some blow downs from Chapter 11. And below, Hella Hot Chicken in Nashville for the best fried pickles we ever ate!
It was lovely to meet you & Little Bean Sunday at The Warning show in Nashville! I'd love to share some of my photos with you, they are a little blurry. I'm the one from Memphis & spoke to you before me & my sister left the show
Thanks for the pair of photos, Dan! In the first, Bean looks like she'd just walk under the fallen trees: in the second, it looks like all that hot chicken has S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D our fearless foodie! Wow!
