Quite true unfortunately Chuck, I believe I’d have to add physical stanza breaks like dashes to make that happen and I didn’t want to add content. Substack doesn’t like blank lines for some reason! Thank you though! Have you heard Grandson’s cover of Masters of War by the way?
You did your best. I’m a baby on Substack, very beginner, 3 posts. I’m just looking at that no-stanza-breaks feature of this format myself. I might try // at the head of the next intended first line, the regular stanza break punctuation. I post at will on Facebook. I have missed that cover.
I like Substack. I've pulled way back on FB recently and tried to dedicate a more disciplined writing attack here, a little daily something or other. My daughter has recently joined me and it's been fun! Upside to Substack, no commercials and algorythims to fight and a more direct path to readers. Downside, it's still a bit basic and you pointed out and one must do a bit more work on the front end to find subscribers.

I do not agree with most of these writings as they are commenting on a time in which they did not exist, but I am joyful that they still can voice their opinions.
I do not agree with a couple of them and I am sure they would not agree with me, but I am more than thankful that we all can still voice our opinions. I particularly do not agree with older performers should quit, as their are younger ones that are worse and are kept going because they are young. The young girl talking about birth control issues, I understand her anguish but she is incorrect on some things. Writing does help get your feelings out of your insides, so it is a type of therapy so all of the essays are excellent.
