Last week, we asked you all a simple question: What was your favorite view from 2024?
Wow, did you all respond by sending us some wonderful photos! So, for the next two days, we’re turning this little corner over to you.
Today, we’ll publish all your photos with credit to the photographer and a little description of each wonderful shot. Tomorrow, we’re going to publish a piece by our friend and Day By Dayer Allison Walls who sent a lovely photo essay putting into words just how much surprising fun this has all been.
So, today, let’s get right to it, shall we? In no particular order, here are all your favorite views from 2024!
Dan Rothman: Our granddaughter at Lake Willoughby.
Nils Gonzalez: Our dog Pete enjoying his new back yard with a big stick. We recently had the good fortune to move to a new house, circa 1760.
Elizabeth Gauffreau: The view of the ocean from Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine on a foggy day. I love foggy days!
Jim Viar: In any season, The Cog is a favorite, especially in early winter. Luckily, I snapped this in late fall before it stopped running for the season.
Nancy Crissinger: I’ve many favorite views from our front porch but this one of our ‘chicken’ entertains us every year. Seeing the trees across the valley fill in and create this heralds spring - who doesn’t love that!
Marie Starski: So, so, SO MANY favorite views!!! This one was taken from the beginning of the Tuckerman Ravine Trail. I just love seeing a trail heading off into .... who knows where. Well, we do know where this trail goes, but I like the idea of just heading off into .... somewhere.
Susan Hadley: One from a couple weeks ago at Nubble Light. My daughters and I went up for an overnight at a hotel overlooking the lighthouse. It snowed overnight so we got two views!
Wayne Merritt: I took this photo of Mount Fuji from the summit of Mt. Takao, a small mountain in my wife’s hometown of Hachioji, at sunset on Dec. 31, 2024.
Thank you everyone. Truly some beautiful, heartfelt and personal views. And so many having to do with family and home and loved ones, and that’s so important, as you’ll all read tomorrow from Allison’s story. I hope you all enjoyed these lovely views!
Thanks for reading Day By Day! This post is public so feel free to share it.
Sorry I missed getting a photo in there, Dan! These are all wonderful!
